Praise to the Alimighty God for His grace to give us safety and strength to be able to carry out the 41st
Bali Arts Festival – PKB 2019. As the implementation of the Vision of Bali Province : Nangun Sat Kerthi
Loka Bali , namely through a Planned Development Pattern, ahead to a New Bali Era, PKB 2019 is held
as an arena of developing the Balinese culture, especially the effort of protecting classical arts as well
as sebunan tradition in each regency and city throughout Bali.
The Bali Arts Festival PKB 2019 lifts a theme : Bayu Pramana: Memuliakan Sumber Daya Angin means : Bayu Pramana, to glorify the Wind Energy as Natural Resource. The theme becomes the spirit of all activities and events along the Festival, namely from Arts Procession, Parade, Contests, Exhibition, Seminars and Workshops. Bayu Pramana as a theme should be used as the consiousness to glorify the resource, energy and the strength of world elements such as air, wind, breath or other terms. This universe energy should be the foundation of the Balinese civilization from time to time which is highlighting all aspects of the worldly and heavenly life, from the the civilization by using the mind, the way of life, believing systems up to transcendental things. This great glorious concept is hopely to become the lighter of the creativity based on Balinese traditional, which later could inspire the present generation to always love their ancestors culture to develop character, identity and common welfare.
The present Bali Provincial Administration under the Bali Governor Wayan Koster and Vice Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati has a commitment to preserve the greatness of the Festival as an icon of a colossal arts festival, close to the people and all once has an international reputation. Therefore, the working process executed by human resources involved in the festival such as the team of curators,
the coaches team and the Organizing Committee would be monitored every time to guarantee that the implementation of this year festival would be more developed compared to the previous ones.
This big hope extended by the Governor and the Vice Governor would be happen only just under the cooperation and the energy of all sides such as the artists, experts in culture, contingent from other regions and foreign countries, media and press, the Curator Team, Coaches, Judges, the Organizing Committee, the team of the Family Welfare – PKK, the Regencies and City Administrations and all of the people of Bali. Therefore, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, may I extend a great thank and appreciation for the cooperation held till these days.
Lets make the Festival as a vehicle of the Balinese Culture Development in great joys and with full dedication.
