Hari Raya Pagar Wesi occurs every 210 days due to the Balinese Calendar. Pagar Wesi is a ceremony dedicated for Sanghyang Pramesti Guru (God as guru of the universe). �Pagar Wesi is derived from the word�Pagar which mean protection and Wesi which means iron. Pagar Wesi has meaning as canstancy of faith and knowledge. Without knowledge, human will fall into darkness (awidya). Praying begins at sanggah / merajan (private temple in the house) then followed to the temples in the village.
